Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 11 August 2026

DeviceData provides hardware and online services for collecting, displaying and remotely viewing information from compatible equipment and sensors. These terms apply when you buy or use DeviceData hardware, services or subscriptions. DeviceData is operated by Matthew Norris-Jones, trading as DeviceData. Contact: support@devicedata.co.uk.

Products & service

We aim to ensure our hardware is as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for its intended purpose. Product images and illustrations are for illustrative purposes only. Actual products may vary slightly in appearance, colour, finish or design. Some images may have been edited, digitally enhanced, or may be renders or mock-ups for presentation purposes. On-screen displays, layouts, features and data shown may also vary depending on the firmware version installed. Compatibility may depend on third-party hardware, firmware, wireless reception and internet connectivity.

DeviceData may transmit telemetry to our online service for remote viewing. We aim to keep the service reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every reading will always be complete, current or accurate.

DeviceData is a monitoring and information product. It is not a certified safety system, alarm, navigation instrument or emergency service and should not be relied upon as the sole means of monitoring anything where failure or an incorrect or delayed reading could create a safety risk.

Public data

Some DeviceData telemetry is intentionally displayed on publicly accessible pages and can be viewed without signing in. This may include battery, power, solar, temperature, equipment status, environmental, location and other device information.

Information shown on a public DeviceData page should be treated as information published on the public internet. Account credentials, payment details and information specifically designated as private are not made public.

Orders, returns & subscriptions

Prices and any delivery or recurring charges will be shown before purchase. UK consumers buying online normally have a 14-day right to cancel after receiving goods, subject to applicable exceptions. This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, incorrectly described or otherwise fail to comply with consumer law.

A DeviceData purchase may include an initial period of online service. Some features may subsequently require a paid subscription. The price, billing period and any automatic renewal will be clearly shown before you subscribe. Recurring subscriptions can be cancelled to prevent future renewal.

Accounts & third parties

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and must not attempt to interfere with DeviceData or access another user's private information.

DeviceData may work with equipment made by third parties. References to manufacturers or trademarks indicate compatibility and do not imply partnership or endorsement. We cannot guarantee continued compatibility if a third party changes its products, firmware or communications protocols.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or affects your statutory consumer rights. We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill, but not for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or failures caused by equipment, networks or services outside our reasonable control.

We may update DeviceData software, firmware, services and these terms where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, compatibility, functionality or legal compliance.

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.
